Dr. Intezar Mehdi serves as the Director and Head of the Department, as well as a Senior Consultant specializing in Paediatric Haematology Oncology and BMT at the HCG Cancer Centre in Bangalore. With a distinguished reputation, he is widely recognized as an expert in paediatric haemato-oncology, offering extensive experience in treating childhood cancers.
Dr. Mehdi’s expertise also extends to managing haematological disorders such as thalassaemia, sickle cell anaemia, anaemia in children, AIHA, ITP, platelet disorders, haemophilia, and other bleeding disorders. He possesses advanced proficiency in autologous and allogeneic blood and bone marrow transplants, which play a crucial role in addressing haematological and oncological malignancies, as well as benign conditions like thalassemia and aplastic anaemia.
